I love real candlelight but at the same time I don’t want to give up my LED candles. They simply have practical advantages: for example, you don’t have to think about putting them out and you don’t have to be afraid when children are around. Since I found my LED candles a bit boring, I started to decorate them. I often redecorate them and adapt them to the new seasons.
Today I show you a DIY idea with dried roses, jute twine and organza ribbon for any season. With the candle decoration, you can pimp any LED candle! For example, you can create a great table decoration.
With the following step-by-step instructions you can easily make the romantic candle decoration with dried roses yourself!
Tools
Here you can see what tools I used for the LED decoration. You only need a pair of scissors.
Materials
These are the materials I used for the candle decoration: A large LED candle, dried roses with stems (I dry my roses myself by hanging them upside down), jute twine and a narrow purple organza ribbon.
Instructions | Decorate your LED candle
Step 1: Wrap LED candle with jute string
The first step is to cut a long piece of jute string.
This piece of string is used to loosely wrap the LED candle several times. I make sure that the string is really loose so that the rose stems can be inserted well later.
I tie the jute string in a knot and cut off the ends.
Step 2: Put dried roses in jute string
In the second step, simply insert the dried roses between the LED candle and the jute string.
It will look like this:
I use the scissors to cut the rose stems to the same length.
Step 3: Attach organza ribbon
Now wrap another piece of organza ribbon around the candle and close it with a bow.
I cut the ends of the ribbon at an angle.
And the romantic candle decoration is ready! I hope you enjoyed this DIY as much as I did and you like the sight of the decorated LED candle!
